I am a poet and writer. My first novel Dedalus is a sequel to James Joyce's Ulysses and was published by Henningham Family Press in 2018.
My poetry collections are The Hutton Inquiry (2005), Zeppelins (2008) THE
RESTRUCTURE (2012, all with Salt Publishing) and Speculatrix (Penned in the Margins, 2014). I have recorded my work with the Poetry Archive and had work in a number of anthologies, including The Best of British Poetry 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
My plays Shad Thames, Broken Wharf (published by Penned
in the Margins as a limited edition box) and Mudflats have
been performed in London and Liverpool.
My creative non-fiction books In the Catacombs: A Summer Among the Dead Poets of West Norwood Cemetery and Cenotaph South: Mapping the Lost Poets of Nunhead Cemetery are published by Penned in the Margins. Real South Bank is published by Seren.
I work as the National Poetry Librarian at The National Poetry Library, Southbank Centre and teach for The Poetry School.
